PABX System: Featuring Panasonic KX-TES824

Medium sized PABX are fun to assemble and configure specially if your talking of the Panasonic PABX KX-TES824. I had a number of opportunity to install a number of this model in some of our Saver's branches outlet in Luzon. This model is very easy to assemble and configure and yet a very reliable platform for medium size companies. Let me start by presenting its hardware configuration. This model is a "plug and play" device as anyone with a basic knowledge on electronics can assemble it. It also comes in a user-friendly manual that will guide you through the process of assembly and configuration.
The standard KX-TES824 is composed of the main board KX-TES82480 comes in two (2) central office (CO) lines and eight (8) locals (2 CO x 8 SLT). This model can be expanded up to 24 locals and 8 CO. The package is also accompanied by an installation disk (maintenance console system). This software must be installed in a dedicated desktop or on the programmer's laptop as this console will be used later to configure the PABX unit. The PABX is a multipurpose platform that can support a number of peripherals as seen in the diagram. 1. It can be used as door opener, doorbell and chime. 2. It can be used as an intercom (doorphone) 3. External audio source can be connected 4. It can be used as a paging system. 5. The following can be connected: fax, proprietary phone, single line telephone, answering machine 6. PC and printer for maintenance and accounting.
